Hello! Welcome to the first edition of a special series where Thea employees are given the opportunity to write about a topic that piques their curiosity. For this post, I’ve chosen to dive into astrology—a subject I’ve recently found myself enjoying and wanting to understand better. While astrology may not be everyone's cup of tea, there's something fascinating about its mix of ancient wisdom and surprisingly modern, math-y elements.
Astrology operates with the idea that the positioning of the planets at the moment of your birth plays a role in shaping your life's focus, events, and even your personality. As someone who loves patterns and numerical relationships, I can’t help but appreciate the logic behind the way planets and celestial bodies align. The degree shifts of these planets in real time, compared to where they were when we were born, is said to influence certain aspects of our lives, whether we believe it or not. So yes, there’s a lot of math and data at play!
But here's the big question: do I truly believe in astrology? Honestly? Not really. But I’m not writing this blog to prove astrology right or wrong. Instead, I’m here because I find it fun and even a little bit magical—even if it’s not scientifically provable. These days, I’ve turned astrology into a bit of a party trick among my friends. I can now read birth charts and make “predictions” about what’s to come. When I get something wrong, I shrug my shoulders; when I’m right, I get to spook my friends. While we may not take the subject matter too seriously, talking about astrology is always fun.
When I reflect on whether I believe in astrology, my thoughts often come down to... vibes. Bear with me here. Astrology is based on the physical reality of our solar system—planets moving in ways that impact us here on Earth. Over thousands of years, astrologers have observed these patterns and assigned meaning to them. Now, here's where things get interesting: vibrations. Everything, from our thoughts to the very rocks beneath our feet, has a vibration. Even though our brains can’t consciously pick up on every vibration, I believe these energies influence our moods and thoughts. So, why not think that the immense, distant planets could send vibrations our way that affect us in ways we don’t fully understand?
In the end, whether or not you believe in astrology, there’s something undeniably intriguing about its blend of science, intuition, and mystery. For me, it’s a fun way to think about the world and our place in it.
Enjoy reading about my astrological predictions for 2025, and let’s see where these cosmic vibes take us.

2025 Summary
If I could sum up 2025 in one sentiment, it would be: get ready for some high-energy change. To keep this blog short, I’ve chosen to focus on the upcoming changes in Aries, because it will be the zodiac sign that experiences the most movement, as well as two other major celestial shifts: the North and South nodes and Pluto.
2025: Shifts in Aries
Out of all the houses, Aries is getting the most action in 2025. This is exciting because Aries is also the very first house of the zodiac, meaning collectively 2025 will feel like the start of a new chapter.
Aries represents the 1st (of 12) houses, the House of Self, governing personal identity, self-expression, and how we present ourselves to the world. When we take a step back and think about everyone on a global scale, Aries represents a fresh start to the zodiac. It's also the youngest sign in the zodiac, so expect yourself and those around you to be acting a bit more impulsively than usual. Ruled by Mars, it embodies boldness, independence, and initiation, encouraging individuals to take risks and assert their uniqueness. This house highlights new beginnings, personal autonomy, and the drive to pursue goals with courage and energy. Here are some of the key events taking place in this zodiac house:
Saturn Shift into Aries (May 25 – September 1): Saturn brings structure, discipline, and a sense of responsibility to Aries’ domains, which might feel like a call to take on new challenges. However, this energy won’t be long-lasting, as Saturn will return to Pisces in September. The retrograde motion might cause a few setbacks but expect some life-altering clarity during the summer months when Saturn is in Aries. This could bring a global focus on restructuring, strengthening boundaries, and setting long-term goals, particularly in emerging technologies.
Neptune changes signs (Pisces to Aries) on March 30: Neptune has been in Pisces since 2012, influencing spirituality, creativity, and our collective unconscious. But as it moves into Aries, expect a shift toward more individualistic expression and action from now until January 2039. Neptune in Aries will encourage people to act on their dreams, yet caution is needed as illusions or unrealistic expectation could lead to confusion or disillusionment.
Venus retrograde in Aries (March 1 – April 12) & Mercury retrograde in Aries (March 15 – April 7): These retrogrades happening at the same time will likely urge the world to slow down on their action plans to reassess impact on relationships, finances, and communications, before adjusting the gameplan and pushing onward after the retrogrades. These retrogrades will likely create temporary slowdowns in global trade, negotiations, and partnerships this spring.
Final Aries Solar Eclipse (March 29 @ 9 degrees of Aries). Eclipses take place in two opposite houses for 1.5 years (about 7 eclipses per 1.5-year rotation). The Eclipses have been in Aries and Libra since April 2023. In March this year, we will get our final Eclipse – which signifies major change in these areas, before the nodes enter Pisces/Virgo and begin disrupting those houses. This eclipse could signify a culmination or breaking point in organizations struggling with outdated structures.
Other astrological changes in 2025:
Just because Aries is getting a lot of action, that doesn’t mean the other 11 houses aren’t. There will be a Nodal change to Pisces and Virgo. The North and South Nodes influence themes for the next year and a half, highlighting areas of growth and challenge. The North Node points toward collective aspirations and lessons to embrace, while the South Node urges us to release outdated patterns, guiding societal shifts and individual transformations.
The North node has been in Aries since 2023, shining a collective focus on personal ambition and individuality for the past 2 years; the shift into Pisces will encourage a period of greater emotional connection and collective healing. It may also emphasize dissolving boundaries, fostering empathy, and embracing uncertainty rather than rigid structure and control.
Meanwhile, the South node was in Libra for the past 1.5 years and will be entering Virgo this spring. While in Libra, we have been pushed to let go of rigidity around relationships and balance and now will be forced to re-examine themes of service and focus on personal growth, health, and refining our skills for practical, everyday challenges.
Additionally, 2025 will be Pluto’s first full year in Aquarius. Pluto represents power, regeneration, and change, often involving cycles of destruction and renewal. Pluto was in Capricorn for 15 years (2008 – 2024), a zodiac sign that represents authority, discipline, and ambition. Aquarius represents innovation, individuality, social progress, and collective ideals. 2025 is the beginning of a 15-year transformation that will shift power and demand change away from hierarchical, top-down structures (Capricorn) toward more decentralized, collective, and technology-driven systems (Aquarius).
How does this impact you?
It’s hard to say how these shifts will impact everyone, because each person’s birth chart is so unique! Below are the key themes that will be impacted in individuals lives (based on their rising sign).
Predictions are more accurate if you go based on your rising sign (not sun sign), but most people don’t know theirs. To find out, you can go to astro-seek.com – you will need to provide your birth time.
Earth signs (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn rising)
These signs have Aries in their fourth, eighth, and twelfth houses, which represent home, transformation, and spirituality. You likely have spent more time alone between 2023 and now and will continue to throughout the first half of the year, whether it be focusing on personal hobbies or redefining and recommitting to your core values and beliefs. Expect to have more clarity when it comes to what you believe in and in your own mental fortitude by the end of this year. You will feel a calling to start focusing more on your physical self, be it your appearance or your home.
Fire signs (Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius rising)
These signs have Aries in their first, fifth, and ninth houses, which deal with self, creativity, and growth. You likely have undergone a physical change between 2023 and now, and will continue to through the first half of the year, whether it be changes in your appearance or moving homes. There also may have been a focus on fun and travel. These themes will continue this year, but you will feel a calling to start shifting focus towards career (school or profession) and the way you make or handle money this fall.
Water signs (Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces rising)
These signs have Aries in their second, sixth, and tenth houses, which deal with resources, health, and ambition. You likely have undergone changes in financial circumstances, health, or career between 2023 and will continue to through the first half of this year, whether it be changes in school/job, responsibilities, or dealing with major shifts in your bank account. You will feel more settled in these areas of your life by the end of the year. You will feel a calling to start shifting focus towards relationships and the way you communicate this fall.
Air signs (Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius rising)
These signs have Aries in their third, seventh, and eleventh houses, which deal with communication, relationships and community. You likely have undergone changes in intrapersonal relationships or the way you present yourself to the public in 2023 and will continue to the first half of this year, whether it be new friendships or romantic relationships or new members of your family. By the end of the year, you will feel more confident and settled in the way you present yourself publicly and more solid in your intrapersonal relationships. You will feel a calling to start shifting focus more inward towards personal values, beliefs, and your mental health.
